Kaiju Island
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Try to take over Kaiju Island, a place with lots of natural resources and nothing but a beautiful tropical climate going on. Why has nobody exploited this wonderful commercial opportunity so far?
Click to drag from a city to place a marker. Drag an existing marker into the ocean or somewhere invalid to get rid of it. The more markers a city has, the fewer resources it has to repair itself (in theory, this doesn't really work).
Your goal is to take over all city sites and hold them for a while.
The game could do with a lot of tuning, and the city area mechanic is certainly... interesting in how it works, but it's a game.
You can get really unlucky in the beginning, just try again.
There is also a bug where sometimes your cities don't react to mouse drags anymore. It happens so rarely that I've not been able to determine what causes it.
I've not tested the Linux build yet, will do that tomorrow and update it if necessary.

Hey there! I really liked this concept and the visuals were just right to evoke that boardgame feeling.
I did encounter a bug where I restarted and ended up in a game where the kaiju only spawned once? Not sure what dictates when they spawn so maybe I was taking over cities in a strange way. Regardless, the mechanic was neat, nice work!
